For over three decades, Rainbow Montessori Multicultural School has enjoyed a reputation as the finest Montessori in our community. Our goal is to foster the innate creativity in each child, and help maximize his/her potential, while still being a kid!
RMMS accepts children ages 12 months through 5th grade, in a mixed age setting. We offer low student/teacher ratios and a Multicultural program that includes Spanish, French, S.T.E.M., Music, Art, Gardening, Yoga, P.E and Computer.
Our school is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), Broward County Childcare Licensing and Enforcement, the Early Learning Coalition, registered at the Florida Department of Education and meets the standards of excellence Montessori educators offer around the world by its accreditation to the American Montessori Society. All of our teachers are AMS certified in the group age they are instructing and are CPR and First Aid certified as well.
Our school consists of 4 separate classroom environments. Our Little Montessorian environment (Infant Toddler Program) accommodates children of 12 months (must be walking) to 3 years of age. We have 2 classrooms, Blue Sky and Sunshine, accommodating children ages 3 to 6 year olds (Early Childhood). Our Kindergarten program is fully recognized by the Broward and Dade County School systems. The classroom Rainbow includes our 6-12 year olds students that attend our Elementary grades. We also have a Media Center, a Fine Arts & Music room and a viewing room with eight cameras for the parents to observe and enjoy their children activities in each classroom, playgrounds and hallway.
We are proud to organize fun and educational activities for our students all year round, including our traditional Thanksgiving lunch, Winter Wonderland and our Annual Tea Party (just to name a few).
We’d love to be your child’s second home!
Rainbow Montessori Mission Statement
Maria Montessori, a physician, using the scientific method, studied how children learn best and developed a curriculum, which has been used successfully, for about one hundred years, with children from many countries and cultures.
She made a difference in children’s lives. Her work emphasized an individualized lesson, utilizing more than one sense at a time, providing immediate feedback as to the correctness or incorrectness of the child’s work in an environment of love and respect.
Children working at their own pace at what they want to do, that receive immediate reinforcement from the material they are working with, find it easy to be successful, are excited about what they are learning and feel good about themselves and they abilities.
The mission of Rainbow Montessori Multicultural School is to foster the innate creativity in each child, and help each maximize his/her potential, while still being able to be a child!
We offer an environment that encourages children to develop their capabilities and interests at their own pace and according to their individual needs. The environment recognizes the uniqueness of each and every child and provides positive encouragement for the child’s continued growth.
We offer a program committed to promoting global understanding and citizenship, fostering a deep appreciation for the languages and cultures of the world
We faithfully use her approach with our children, and feel good about the difference we make in their lives.
